Fall Deer: GRO owns and leases multiple properties in Jo Daviess County the TOP DEER producing county in northwestern Illinois. We are also proud to boast about TROPHY QUALITY, as well. Please review B&C and P&Y records.

We are sure you noted the shed antler found on the 'About GRO' page. That single non-typical shed took 2nd Place at the Iowa Deer Classic in 2008 scoring 118 3/8! This year we have secured that exact farm where it was found for lease. Our properties are managed year round not just seasonally. We are working for you all year to offer the best opportunity possible to harvest a mature quality animal. We do request, given that 'opportunity', that one harvests ONLY mature bucks of at least 130" with bow and 140" with muzzleloader.

We will be taking only 10 bow hunters, two muzzleloader hunters for the year and two late antler less gun hunters for the year, to help manage some of our does. You will be hunting on one of our premier farms for 5 days with bow. Muzzleloader hunts will be either the 4-day (2nd gun season), or the 3-day muzzleloader hunt. This 2010 season, we will be offering the late antlerless season.

All hunts include meals, lodging, guide service, transportation to and from the field, and field dressing. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to your scheduled hunt. Each hunter will receive airline and travel directions, what to bring, hunt contract and other necessary information needed to make your hunt a worthy experience. All hunters to arrive the afternoon before scheduled hunt, and depart the following morning of the last days hunt.

Oct 18 thru 22 $2,980.00; Oct 24 thru 28 $2,980.00;
Oct 30 thru Nov 3 $2,980.00; Nov 5 thru 9 $2,980.00;
Nov 11 thru 15 $2,980.00. Pricing is per hunter.

Muzzleloader: (1 hunter per season as follows)
December 2 thru 5 $3,100.00; Dec 10 thru12 $3,000.00.

Late Antlerless: (2 hunters as follows) Jan 14 thru 16 $ 675.00.
Pricing is per hunter.

Non-resident ARCHERY permits available JUNE 1, 2010. ($410.00)
Non-resident MUZZLELOADER permits available JULY ($325.00)

Non-resident 5-day hunting license $57.75. Habitat stamp $5.50.
Late winter antlerless season one may use any unused firearm permit or are available OTC ($17.50).
